Riedel’s story goes back 250 years in time, and it was Claus Josef Riedel, the 9th generation, who was the first in the Riedel family who understood that the shape of the glass had an effect on taste and smell, and could determine the overall wine experience.
Since then, Riedel has produced both mouth-blown and machine-made grape-specific crystal glasses, and a number of series have been launched. 11th generation Riedel, Maximilian Josef, is now CEO and President of Riedel Crystal and launched the Riedel series “Veritas” in the fall of 2014. Veritas combines craftsmanship with machine-blown precision. The glass is exceptionally thin and the watch is always designed to accentuate the wine’s character. Now these glasses can be tried and enjoyed – and should they become your new favorite glasses, they can also be purchased either from Sundqvist Norway or via the Palmer Group if you are a hospitality customer.
Riedel er i dag en vinglassprodusent som nyter stor respekt, og i enkelte vinmiljøer er det udiskutabelt å smake med andre glass enn fra Riedel. Hvorfor er det blitt slik?
