Palmer Group, a privately owned company established in 1997, has grown significantly over the past 28 years. Today, it ranks as the 10th largest wine import company at the wine monopoly and the 5th in the HoReCa sector, out of a total of 770 importers. The company supplies all major sales channels, including the Wine Monopoly, HoReCa, Duty-Free, and Retail.

Palmer Group’s team consists of 20 dedicated specialists, collaborating with 80 brand partners and managing approximately 700 SKUs, spanning wine, spirits, and beer. Their office and wine bar are located in the heart of Oslo, strategically positioned between the Parliament and the Grand Hotel.

The wine bar, La Cave, serves as a hub for engaging with end consumers through organized fairs and tastings while simultaneously fostering a robust B2B sales network. This strategic approach has driven impressive growth, with revenue increasing from 229 million NOK in 2018 to 343 million NOK in 2023.

The Palmer Group works with Cuveco, its logistics partner, and all the leading wholesalers in Norway.

The Palmer Group started with the founding of the former wine company Palmer & Co. in 1997 by the late Ida Palmer. Lars-Reidar Huth took over the helm from 1998 until 2019. Our current CEO is Pål Atle Skjervengen. He has been one of Norway’s leading market actors since he established and built up Norway’s first private importer when Vinmonopolet was split up in 1996.

Palmer enjoys its present position thanks to formidable growth since its founding. Today, the Palmer Group imports and distributes more than 500 alcoholic and non-alcoholic products, in all price classes, from more than 60 producers from around the world.

The Palmer Group is a solid, independent company. Its four largest owners are the Løvenskiold family, the Collier family, Skjervengen and Huth. Operationally, we are 18 forward-leaning colleagues who are constantly pursuing new market shares.
